    Hi all,

    I have an interesting problem, and I think a script is the solution, but I'm useless so thought I'd throw it out to the forums!

    So, I would like to have animated people mesh moving around the scene with a point cache modifier loading a walk cycle. When the mesh stops moving, I want the point cache mod to turn off, effectively turning on the second point cache sitting underneither with an ideal pc2 loaded.

    I hope this makes sense!! We're been struggling with this all day.

    I have come to the conclusion that the best way is to have a pre-render script look at the objects in the file before render, and if any objects are not moving, turn off the modifier.

    Does anyone think this is the best method to get this result, or is there a better way?
