  • Product configurator choices?

I work for a commercial furniture company and we are developing a product configurator for all the different products we sell.

Can anyone recommend a web based program, preferably flash, that can be used to display images created in vray and projected onto geometry, exported from max in the web program.

We are working with WireFusion currently, java based, and a colleague has been able to get it to work using images projected onto the geometry exported from max and bypassing it's internal renderer. It actually works well, but the program is $3000.00 and we don't need the render capabilities or many of it's features, since the images are done by vray.

Are there more cost effective alternatives that are better suited for what we are trying to do? Thanks.

    Hi TRGraphics,

maybe way off here, but have you taken a look at something like papervision 3D,
they have a flash component and there are lots of tutorials around on using baked
objects straight out of the 3d apps. There is also sandy 3D and away 3D, though I
believe papervision has the largest user base, probably because of the really easy
flash component integration. Either way they are all free and flash based.
    Hope it helps.

Sample chapter from a great book on the subject, this chapter covers 3dsmax export,
