  • fisheye lens recomendations

    Hi guys,
Im looking at getting a fisheye lens for my canon 5d.
Can anyone recommend something that I can use for shooting HDRs?

I've been using the Sigma 8mm, but I have not compared it to any others. Works okay for me though.

I use the sigma 8mm as well, does the job. Handle with care though, easily scratched!

100% crop from sigma 8mm on a 1dsmk3 (borrowed, sadly)

its there alright, but clears up nicely in Lightroom for me

Yeah - can't do much about the CA, but I see that all the time on shots coming in from all ranges of lenses and cameras. It's worse on the 8mm, but repairable in Pshop for sure, and for most HDRI purposes (IMO) not a big deal anyway.

yeah lightroom/Digital photo pro do a good job of removing the CA. Its quite nice to leave a little bit in the HDRs it gives some nice subtle colour difference to shadow edges

                      that is an interesting option...
Looks like it has some issues with lens flares at higher F stops and it has a silly F stop jump from 3.5 to 5 and misses out 4
The prices is very nice though
