    Hi-

I purchased the ScalpMAX plug-in and it works as expected, but how would I accomplish the assembly of a house, which isn't what ScalpMAX or the slice modifier can do? I am thinking having the house drop from the sky in parts. Would I have to animate each part?

    Thanks in advance,

There's various video tutorials on the area blog for exactly that kind of shot. Including one that details scripting the motion of individual part.

There's various other approaches described too

Great, thanks. Seems like an awful lot of work, but good to know.

one way I found to do this task quicker is do it backwards
ie start with full model and then move the bits around at time 'x' (by linking chunks to dummys)

then when its roughly ok reverse the timeline key frames in track view and fine tune

This is super helpful for sequential assemblies. Animate groups of objects all at once. then offset their keys based on object name or proximity to other objects. I've found that naming works the best.

Soulburn's Name Manager (and others likely) renames objects based on the order they are chosen. Then use keyshifter.
