I went and saw it a few moments ago in 3D (with the dumb glasses). I could see how the 3D helped it, but the obscuring isn't really worth it. I'm not sure whether it's in 3D at all places or what..

Anyway, the movie was great, the effects were fantastic, and the story was ok. But who the hell cares about the story! I had trouble making the distinction between real and fake. I mean, some of the dudes while wearing the masks looked fake, and the jackass with the scars looked fake or had a whole bunch of face lifts done or something. Whatever the case, real and simulated blended seamlessly! Can't wait to see more articles with shot breakdowns and so on.

Gotta agree there. It was a hell of a ride yesternight. I was sceptical from the Trailers (tho the second one was a lot better). But the final movie simply blew me away. The environments are incredible, just as is animation, dynamics and pretty much everything lol.

A BIG Kudos to everyone that worked on it. It's raising the bar and changing the game for me!

ja there was a big skepsis when i saw the trailer too. but.... damn awesome!!
the whole world, seesm like they've tooked alot inspiration from underwater. just incredible.

appart from the 1.15h!!!!!!!!!!!! commercials before the film starts.....

saw it yesterday in 3d. absolutely gobsmacked. it was my first 3d film. The cg was so incredibly well done, I forgot after a time how much of it was cg.

I saw it in IMAX 3d, first 3d movie for me too.
Very impressing.

It's a bit odd that the DOF is fixed, i constantly tried to focus on the background at the beginning...

Visually the movie is great, apart of some 3d artefacts (stuttering pans), it's flawless.

It's probably the first 3d world I've seen, that I'd like to visit for real

The story is very simple, like an average disney film, but all in one much better than the silly star wars movies.
