  • Video Composition

Hello guys, just wondering if i can get some help over here this is the first time im going to be composing some animation sequences and i have never jumped into this realm. I tried going into Premiere but it was pretty complex being i have such short time i was wondering if anyone knew of any other easier software that can help me compile these animation clips.

Also if anyone can just brief me on file types, i usually just send quicktime videos in mpeg 4 but this time im afraid this clients wants more, maybe on a cd etc.

Any help would be appreciated, i have very little experience in the audio / video comp. Side. =)

    Thanks.

Are you editing or compositing? If editing, the only app I know of that is simpler is Sony Vegas, but I'm not sure if it still exists.
If you are just slapping clips after one another in the timline you could always use WindowsMoviemaker too
If you are compositing, use something designed for that, like After Effects, or even better Nuke or Fusion, but it all depends on the complexity of what you want to achieve. For really basic stuff you can actually composite in Premiere as well, but I fear it might be a bit like watering the plants with a bathtub.

Cool let me look into nuke or fusion see if there are any quick tutorials, premiere was way to complex for the time being maybe later on ill learn. And yes it was just to slap some clips one after the others.

I think nuke/fusion are a little bit more complicated than premiere...

Even so, I think it's worth cracking out the help files in premiere and spending a couple of hours one night playing around with it. It looks a mess at first, but you pick it up faster than you'd think.
Slapping clips down is editing, compositing is green screen/layers/heavy effects stuff.
