For some reason all of a sudden when I click the button for either my layer manager or my render settings dialogue, nothing happens. I've tried service packs, hot fixes, and reinstalling max, and nothing. Anybody seen this?

did you change monitor resolution or dual-monitor configuration?
probably they are moved out of screen space?
the coordinates for the dialogs are stored in 3dsmax.iniMarc Lorenz
