  • Afterburn Alpha Issue

    Hi all

Anybody have a clue how to fix the afterburn alpha issue. I have black background with some smoke. Save the render with alpha. Comp in photoshop and the smoke comes out smaller (switch off alpha and it is fine)

    Any ideas?

(tried both with scanline and vray - same story)
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Hmm - Photoshop actually has really shitty handling of alpha channels - try rendering as a tga with straight alpha and it might work better for you.

Actually the file is tga (and I tried with png also). I tested with just 1 frame in photoshop and also with whole animation in combustion. Same story. All other alphas work as expected, except for the afterburn particles. I also tried with premultiplied and without, same result.
      Kind Regards,

Here is the original file saves straight from render (image1), which was rendered with black environment. The next image is the same thing but comped onto a black layer. (I tried both with tga and png and get same result. What the?
