Its difficult to work out what the atual 3d form is, but could it be a helix shape, with a sweep modifier on it that is a very thin rectangle (or even just a line sweeping along it) but rotate every other vertex on the helix path 20 or 30 degrees?
Might be worth having a play with that?Kind Regards,

My first idea was just to comp it. It is hard to make out the overall shape.
I tried a helix yesterday with both a rectangle and one line spline lofted along the path. It came out very blocky - I couldn't get it to loft smoothly at all.
I preferred the one line solution as I could use the 2sided Mtl on it and light it up from the center.
No luck so far...Comment
