  • Any tricks for perfectly framing an image plane?

I want to use Max to do some work on a background plate, so I'm projecting it onto a plane that has the same proportions as the image. I set up the render size to match that exactly as well. The goal is to render from an orthographic view and have it be exactly the same size as the input image.

I have been manually zooming/panning the viewport, and with a camera - but is there a simple way/trick to have an object *perfectly* fit the framing of a render? Hitting 'z' centers it, but does not fill the frame.

I can get close, but then I lose the pixel accuracy for registerting the render image and the original image in photoshop.

    Any help much appreciated.

Thanks - but I'm not having any luck with it running in 2010 or 2009 - are either of you using it in one of those? I ran the script but nothing shows up in the Customize User interface options or anywhere that I can find (mb tools is there for another Breidt script I use)

It's a Scripted Geometry Plugin. It shows up in the Create tab in the Geometry Section under "MB Objects" Category. Click-Drag as with a usual plane and then pick the camera on the modifier panel.
