Stone wall

Given my area of expertise you would think I would have this figured out by now... but does anyone have a good quick method for making stone walls? I mean old ones that don't have any grout between the stones. A year or so ago, I finally came up with something really close using Simbiont and displacement, but it doesn't hold up to close inspection. I've played with filling boundary objects with particles, but you just end up having to move most of them around by hand afterward to make it look natural.

Anyone?

cebas has a plugin perfect for that. its what they used to break the buildings and stuff in 2012 but it can do that kinda wall fairly easily
