  • lookAt axis-based?

just wondering if its possible to have two objects, both with lookAt constraints to the same object.
but one only follows on x axys, other on y only.
even when i lock the rotation of the objects, the lookAt don't cares and rotates on all axys...
    or is there another way?

    thanks and best regards
    Jonas

he ja right. i'am not the best painter.
ja the brown one only have to rotate flat. the other one up and down. but follow the same lookAt... so the upper cylinder follows the rotation of the brown one, but look at the dummy up and down.

almost. bust even the brown one has to follow the lookAt when you move it, so you don't have to rotate it manualy.
the idea is that you have lets say 10 spotlights like this:

              http://www.party-lichteffekte.de/ima...t-Strahler.jpg

they have 2 rotate axis. the spot himself wich only rotates up and down. and the bracket wich rotates left / right only.
and they all are lead by one dummy only.
i'am on it the hole day today and don't get it..
