  • ignore internal geometry

is there any way to have this in a rendering system. has anyone heard of it. where if you have two transparent objects intersecting it would not render geometry of any object inside the other one. effectively giving a boolean union kind of feeling.

V-Ray should automatically do that already if the objects are refractive and have the same IOR.
