  • reactor problems - new to it really

I have a plate, and was playing around with some different materials falling on it. I have a stack of cheese (think craft singles) and a few sliced potatoes.

At first I tried the plate at about 5kg, which I found out doesn't seem to make a difference since it doesn't move and the cheese and potato slices at something more like .02kg. I figured that was about right since a potato is about .5kg in real life. I have the plate about 10 inches and the other parts to approximate scale to the plate. This is just a test I'm playing with for a possible idea later so it doesn't have to be perfect.

I was having HUGE bounce problems. Sure cheese might be flexible, but it was Way too flexible. I had to change stiffness to .99 to come close to the right results. I have a FFD 5x5x2 on it for bending. Using Mesh based was a bit much since I have it set to something more complex. I don't need to be that precise.
I had to change the mass to 15kg to be about right. I have dampening all the way to 1.0 and friction to .95.

The potato had similar results. 15kg, .7 for friction, and .01 for elasticity.

I left the world as is. I assumed it would be already set to accurate gravity. I tried attaching the file, but am guessing there's a small size limit? It's 264kb zipped. I was getting a red exclaimation, but couldn't figure out the error. Anyone care to give some help? This is about as far as the help file is taking me without me possibly spiraling down the wrong path.
