  • backup emc

Hi, I have been using EMC Retrospect HD for a couple of years and am really ready to move on.
Anyone have any better software back-up choices?

    Although it was not expensive,
My main problems with EMC are:

    Terrible U.I.
Major lack of settings or at least access to them, are they hidden, wtf?
    Terrible network behavior
Program just seems unstable, (xp64 and vista ultimate 64)
I don't feel like I want to rely/depend on it

    'nuff said....

    TIA

For what it's worth. I use R-DriveImage to make full and incremental backups to an external HD.
I also do a nightly copy of all important files to a second internal HD using Beyond Compare

Thanks for the answers and links, I will take a look...

Well, so far, they both look and sound 10X better than EMC
