Animation final output suggestions

I am outputting a 720P (1280x720) animation which is nearly 5 minutes in length to an uncompressed Quicktime file. My intention is then to use Quicktime Pro to export this file to the h.264 format.

My problem is that the output from Premiere is only 10% complete and the file size is 2.5GB! This means if I leave it to it, the file will be around 25GB!!!

Perhaps PNG/PhotoJpeg compressor is a better approach...

For sure Output to animation then re compressed in Quicktime Pro from that, much faster then re-rendering each time out of Premiere
