  • Little Help please.

Ok I know there are a million threads some older than others, so i need some current suggestions. Since the start of scatter plugins I have not really started using them since i have been so busy with the design part of my renderings etc. ( Im an Architect ). Im currently starting a project which will require it, Not sure if I can spend the money on Vray Scatter right now my work firm is on a tight budget, If you can advise on a free scatter technique it would help i need to produce an image like below. Any help is appreciated, you guys always come through. =)

    im on 2010 and sp4a 64 bit.

oh and sorry about the thread title i couldn't change it..lol

on a flat surface like that you can try forest lite:

I guess it should work allright, it may only take a bit to draw all the different splines needed for such an intricate wall.

lite is the free, limited, version. you get less features and you can't scatter on surfaces but only within splines. it's still a great plugin imo, and should work perfectly in your case.

I did something similar with just painting proxies on the wall... In my opinion you will have it done by hand faster than you'll find out how to use the plugin...

Bummer, I just checked, too. Maybe he's updating his homepage?
I have a few scatter plug-ins etc., but this one is usually my favorite for garden/planter bed stuff.
Hope it will still be available...

                    oh, wait, try this link

                              Hi,
this is exactly what I meant by painting the proxies
I use advanced painter, but this would be working solution too.
                              Good luck!
