I have a bunch of panels of timber that I am texturing using BerconMaps wood texture (BerconWood). Its a Linear Wood type and is working really well.
However, all the panels are seperated by only 20mm, and as BerconWood defaults to World XYZ mapping, I can see the grain of one panel running into the next. This looks artificial. I want to offset the UVW of each panel slightly.
I have added a UVW mapping and then randomised the UVW with a script. This works nicely. However, on rendering, the wood grain still aligns perfectly. The UVW mapping on the objects is not being looked at, presumably because BerconWood is set to World XYZ mapping.
What do I need to change to get all panels looking slightly different?
