photoshop CS3 locking 32bit files (cant add/darg layers etc)

Hi all

I suddenly can't add any layers in photoshop in any 32bit single channel exr files. (I don't have ProEXR). Also I can't right click on background and select "layer from background"

I'm manually comping render elements but can't even drag from one file to another.
I'm sure I use to be able to do this, just can't now for some reason

You have CS3 Extended?

How can I check?
(help > about says cs3)
If I have cs3 is this suppose to say cs3 extended?


EDIT: Jip, I only have CS3 (not extended)
So I geuss there's my 32bit limitation right there
