  • Render Contest - Mies Barcelona Pavillion

    Hi all

Finally here is the scene for the suggested contest, with the Mies Barcelona Pavillion!

The contest would be to render the best images you can with this scene!
I think you should not be limited, just show us your best with Vray!

This image was rendered with the default Vray settings and you are able to reproduced it, when you open the scene and press render (I have Enable GamaCorrection checked with Display Gamma, Input and output Gamma at 1.8 )

Here you can download the scene

Here you can download the maps

And here you can do a virtual visit to the real model

A special tanks to Eric that made the statue and help with maps and to João that provide the base pictures to make the textures. The model was made based on the plans in the "MIES VAN DER ROHE - EL PABELLON DE BARCELONA" book, form GG.

Enjoy, and please share your images, your settings and the used techniques.

    Hope you like it!

    Regards,

    Gonçalo

PS: You are free to use all the materials, maps and models find on the scene, but please do not distribute it or sell, just give the correct links!

I think it's a great idea and thanks goes to all involved in getting it started.

Now all I have to do is find some spare time to do it

The camara match looks great and also the match to the same background image quality! I really thought a real photo

Here is the small animation, I dont like the background neither the sky, still in progress...and I m having problems to avoid the flickering on the frost glass.

                        Critics are wellcome

Gonçalo:That is a very nice animation. Only problem besides the flickering is the background enviroment image is too large, the trees in the image make the Pavillion look small, but you mentioned that it is a wip.
