  • Binding XREFs in Autocad Architecture 2009

We have been supplied with a set of drawings for a complex series of buildings. There are many DWG files connected with the project, and all of them have many XREFs within them, lots of them 'nested'.

We are having a major headache just trying to extract a single elevation out of the drawings.

We really need to bind them somehow first, but Autocad won't let us. I am sure it is to do with nested xrefs. There are hundreds of them!

Does anyone know of a good way to bind all the xrefs so that we are working with simple, 'flattened' DWG files????
    Kind Regards,

try writing a block maybe then insert the block into new scene and explode? Just a geuss, Not in front of an autocad pc right now so can't test if you can actually write a block from xref stuff
    Kind Regards,
