  • VRaySSS2 Head Renders

I've been working on these renders on my free time and am getting very close to wrapping them up. But I wanted to know what you all thought. Included are the VRaySSS2 settings. Also I wrote a script for while I was doing this to nail the glossiness values etc. That post is here:

It's an awesome script that renders any property you want incrementally and frame stamps and names the output files correctly.

6 Million displaced Polys will do that

        Glad you both like it.

Brett, the script is incredible, and I guarantee you won't have licensing problems due to it's free nature. But it's so damn useful, it shouldn't be free.

Very interesting that you stuck the colormap in the Overall Color slot. Vlado suggested (some while back) putting it in the SSS Color slot.

Are you getting a good "Glowing ear" effect with a backlit setup?

What does you light rig look like?

Hrm, I'll check into the SSS Color slot. The light rig is a simple HDRI providing very dim (.1 multiplier) for ambient light and 2 VRayLights.

                I'll post an update soon.
