  • Architectural Visualization Artist Seeking Full Time Career Position

My name is Andrew Macy, and I have 14 years of experience in 2D & 3D CAD and 4 years of experience in Architectural Visualization. I have spent the last 12 years in various aspects of 3D design, using AutoCAD, Mechanical Desktop, Factory CAD, 3ds Max and V-Ray to create and render 3D models for multiple markets. Most recently I have been using AutoCAD Architecture 2008, 3ds Max 2009, and V-Ray 1.5 to create still renderings and animations for the architectural firm of Albert Kahn Associates, Inc. in Detroit, MI.

I have a proven ability to learn new skills quickly, as evidenced by my rapid advancement in responsibility and salary over the years. Visualization and 3D modeling are my passion, and because of the love I have for this career I am driven to improve my skills by constantly educating myself through any means available.

I am currently located in a suburb of Detroit, MI, but I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity.

        Andrew,

I myself was caught in the bubble, and got laid off with my previous architectural full time firm. I would highly suggest the effort of more or less seeking freelancing employment in your current area then marketing yourself seeking full time employment. Most employers are really feeling the effects of the economy, therefore they would rather hire someone as a freelancer than a full time employee. Worth a shot. Give it a try. Plus having your own hours as a freelancer is a great benefit !!! lol
