AutoCAD command for gripping and dragging point on line in direction

Hi all

Is there a way I can constrain the direction of moving a grip point on a line? I want to grip the point and lengten the line in the direction of the line. At the moment I'm offsetting another line and extending the 1st line. Just seems like there must be an easier way

'len' on the command line, then 'de' for delta, then type a length and click the end you want extending.

There's also the 'Extension' osnap - can be quite handy.
