  • loft/blend 2 shapes over path. AutoCAD Easy, but how in Max?

    Hi all

I have 2 diferrent shapes at either end of a path. In AutoCAD I use the loft command, select my 2 shapes, enter, "p" for path, select path and presto, 1 shape merges or blends into the other shape over my path.

How can I achieve this using MAX only?
    Kind Regards,

It's just as easy, create a line for your path. Create the two shapes. go to compound objects with your path selected then select your first shape at 0 in the path parameters then type in 100 in the path parameters and select you second shape. you have a series of options to play with in deformations. Plus you can fool with the external shapes and they will be reflected in the loft.

Theres also the cross-section and surface modifiers that can do this as well.
