  • How can I export a 2D AutoCAD file from a 3D AutoCAD Architecture file?

    Hi all

I need to export my 3D model done in AutoCAD Architecture down to 2D for normal AutoCAD?
I'm sure there must be a command for this?
(explode and flatten makes too many duplicate lines over each other)
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

thanks Eric but the files are huge, It's for a complete shopping mall. We'll get the contractor to use that command. Thanks for the tip

          Hi Bobby
Yes I know about the WMFOut and then WMFIn, but it messes up the scale. I did a simple test with a box 4500mm wide, 6550mm long and 1000mm
when I WMFIn and measure the box, it is incorrect. I then scale it up by making the one side which is suppose to be 4500mm, I make it that. But then when measuring the 6550 side it comes in at 6553.38764873874
This will totally mess up my plan
          Kind Regards,
          Morne

You can use "flatten" in autocad to convert the 3d to 2d and remove the hidden lines. Not sure if it works on architecture elements though.
