  • Backburner - output path .... not found after time ?

Not sure whats happening here. This didnt used to happen when I had all win Xp 64 stations. I now have my main workstation as win 7 64 bit. I can start a render through backburner and that works fine. Output path errors dont come up. A dya later it suddenly starts happening. Not sure of the reason?

I have firewalls off. I have checked permissions..nothing changes for either of those between being able to find the output path and not.

Also, I can ping the servers from my workstation and open the remote connection without a problem. Plus, the vray license can be seen from these machines.

The only way I can get the path to be seen again is to restart my main workstation.

    Any ideas ?

Are you trying to overwrite an existing file? If you are it could be windows locking the file.

This happens here when someone links one of our visuals into another application, the OS locks the file and we get a backburner error when we try to update it.

hi steve, i have trouble with my new win 7 workstation too. when i start my workstation and check my networkdrives with windows explorer, everything is fine. but when i start max and open a file located on a networkdrive, it is shown as "not connected". but it is only shown like unconnected. i can select the file and open without problem manually. the problem now, when i start rendering with backburner all my drives are not connected and i get those outputpath errors...i donĀ“t know what is going on there. i have admin rights and all the drives are acessible by other applications only max causes trouble...

Nope, the files havent even been written yet so there wouldnt be any locking of the files.

Kein: Not sure whats happening. It seems fine now. The only thing I havent tried doing which I was doing last night was to render in DR mode with these render servers whilst backburner was running another render.

Vlado, do you think this may cause this kind of problem ?
