I'm a complete noob to texture baking but I need to find a reliable way to employ it.
For example, I have a device with multiple separate parts. I do have a script that will automatically attach all the objects together and convert to an editable poly. I would like to use this new "polygonal model" for the following:
1) Gaming engine.
2) DAZ or Poser.
The export format can be either .obj or .fbx.
Lighting and shadows for this particular example are unimportant.
Is it also a bad idea to attach all the objects into one item for this?
Does anyone know of any easy, good/reliable methods or tutorials regarding the baking workflow?
