  • Changing the default shader balls in 3dsmax

    Hey all,
    Does anyone remember how to change the default materials in the material editor? Mine keeps coming up with a bunch of A&D shaders when I "Reset Material Editor Slots". I think I remember it's some .mat file on my drive, but can't figure out where it is.

    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max Design 2011\defaults\MAX.vray\FactoryDefaults\medit.mat

    Found it! (Be sure to have your "Customize-> Customize UI and Defaults Switcher" set to MAX.vray

    Hope this helps someone else.
