  • Ant Traffic Simulator - automated vehicle rigging & traffic setup for 3ds Max

Ant Traffic Simulator script allows you to rig and animate vehicles to your scene with just a few mouse clicks and it will drastically reduce the time necessary for vehicle animation in visualization scenes.

Select your vehicle and press one button to rig it. Select the path to follow and press a button to have your vehicles following it with proper wheel rotation and steering. Choose the terrain you want to be followed and with couple clicks your vehicles will follow it!

Check the features list below to see how Ant Traffic Simulator script will help you reduce the time spent setting vehicle animations:

    * Automatic vehicle rigging for multiple vehicle styles and sizes
    * Works with Vray Proxy and Mental Ray Proxy objects
    * Works with instanced geometry to save memory
    * Automatic secondary motion for added realism
    * Path following with proper wheel rotation and steering
    * Terrain following
    * Automatic looping on the path for continuous animation
    * Vehicle speed setting in Miles per Hour
    * Traffic setup with random vehicle placement on chosen paths
    * Animated path switching to simulate lane changes
    * One click vehicle stops with easing in and out
    * Quick selection buttons for rigs and vehicle objects
    * Cars per hour calculator for realistic traffic simulation

NOTE: This is a commercial script.
Ant Traffic Simulator is not a plug-in. The scenes created with Ant Traffic Simulator will run the same on computers without the script. You will be able to open, edit and render the scenes on any computer without the need of extra licenses.

mmmm….interesting. This looks like a spin off of George Bargound’s Vehicle Simulator with some nice new futures. It’s nice to see it resurrected with improvements. I think I speak for a lot of us in the arch viz community when George decided not to recompile the plug-in beyond max 8, it was very disappointing. It was a quick solution for simple vehicle simulations.

I’m looking forward to giving this a try…….thanks a bunch.

    Scott.

Hi Scott, I've never seen George Bargound’s Vehicle Simulator and I've tried to search for it online but only broken links or really outdated info shows up. Do you have any more info about that plugin that I could take a look at?

One of my reasons from staying away from making this a plugin was that whole compiling issue. As a script that uses only native controllers and keyframing will work with no issues on future versions of Max as long as Autodesk is keeping the 3ds Max core the same

      Thank you,
      Anton Vasilescu
