slow auto save..

Hi all!

Does anyone else have a problem with slow auto saves in max? Saving the scene normally is very fast but auto save takes a LOT longer even though max saves and auto saves to the same drive..

I had very slow auto-saves when a lot of maps (talking 50+) were not stored locally (either on the network and even on a local USB-drive).

All my maps are stored on a local drive.. strange..

I recently ran into this problem bringing an old project back to life. In my case the problem was related to a bad piece of geometry. Deleted the back geometry and all was well again.

I fixed the problem by merging the problematic scene into a new fresh one.. Now all is well again.
