  • CD boot problem

I suddenly can't get my computer to boot from a CD ROM. I even went into the setup and made the CD the ONLY thing it would try to boot from and the computer simply told me that I had no operating system. The CD drive works just fine otherwise. I had it working a couple months ago. Any clue what I should do?

It's a silly question, but is the CD disc itself bootable? Also, is there a message like "Press any key to boot from CD-ROM..."?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Yep, I am able to boot with these CDs with my old laptop without a problem. And a couple months ago I had it working just fine on this one. I'm experimenting with different versions of Linux. For some reason my computer doesn't like Umbutu or Fedora. I haven't yet tried popping a Windows disc in though.
