Does anybody have a list of questions that they typically ask a client before proceeding with an architectural illustration? I am not talking media type and size... I am talking feeling stuff.

Sounds like my ex girlfriends... (couldn't resist)

    Some quick ideas:
    1. I try and get them to tell me the high concept. This is usually achieved by asking them what exactly are they trying to say about the development with the image (what do they want the viewer to feel). After I wait for their response (usually several sentences), I ask them to distill what they just said, and then distill it one more time (keep everything they've said in mind or write it down), but I try and get them in 3 words or less (not vague words either, very pinpointed perfect words for what they want). Usually works for me and I know that if I don't do anything else right if I can nail those 3 words in the end, I got em.
