    Man, this is weird. If I play my copy of Ratatouille with Cyberlink Power DVD, it's clearly rendered at 30 fps or more, but at a lowish resolution. If I use the Windows player, it's much higher res, but at 24 fps. They must have things set up at Pixar so they are rendering and editing different versions simultaneously.

    it could be the player.
    I've seen similar things between VLC and Windows Media Player. I dont like Windows Media Player, but it seems to be the only player that gives consistant results with DVD's. For everything else I use VLC
    DVD's are always 720X576 (for PAL) and if it is widescreen it is non-square pixal and then it seems asif it is 1024X576 (but only seems like that because of non square pixel). That is the DVD standard and nothing you can do about that.
    For Blu-Ray it's obviously different because its HD
