  • Anyone using tree storm - any way to get rid of the "bounce" when using gust?

    Hi Folks,

I'm doing a load of trees for live action backgrounds and unfortunately I have to have a small amount of wind / rustle in the leaves. I need to have the occasional bit of wind so gust are the only option. I'm finding though that if you use that, the tree bends to the side, holds in place for a second, then springs back - a bit like someone pulling it back then letting it go - rather than a nice soft sway. Has anyone else found something similar and how to work around it?

    Cheers!

    John

Isn't that just a loop then? I always assumed it was when we've used them before, but never really looked into it.

Nah it seems more like the way the gust is calculated - It doesn't seem to gust up forcing the tree to gradually bend over, then bobble for a bit at the full gust, then gradually settle back down. I'll stick up a vid in a bit but the lovely folks of onyx have dropped me a mail to say they'll look at a scene!
