  • Price for 3d model to produce paperweight (i.e. 3D printing)?

I have a client that wants to use my 3d model to build a paperweight (3d printing in glass I think) to give to the staff to commemorate the completion of the building (a hospital). I'm tempted to just give them the model for free but I also hate giving it up for nothing. I've sold models in the past from 3d work to clients who want to use it for various things, namely rerendering after they make changes, but in these cases I've sold the model for thousands of dollars because I knew I was basically done with the project and was transferring all of my effort to them. In this case though I don't think they're up for spending thousands and it's also not like they be able to do much else with it now that the building is done.

So, how much would everyone charge for this? I'm thinking basically the price of another rendered view or about $500-$600 since, in essence, this is what they're getting from my model. Any ideas?

HMM in my opinion i always treat these circumstances on 1. what kind of profits i made with this client, 2. Will these clients be giving you additional work ? 3. Are they aware that if you do give it for free it is out of your kind heart. LOL well if the answer to 2. is no then CHARGE the mofos!!! lol =P No kidding i like to make nice gestures to my good clients thus why they will stay with me forever!!! muhahahha...
