is there such a thing that can convert DAZ models to max models without having DAZ?

yes it's free.
the difficult part is to get the skinning from daz to max.
I had to skin poser characters several times and it's always a nightmare because the mesh is so high-res.
In daz or poser you can see that the deformations are absolutely perfect even in problem areas.
It would be awesome to get this whole rig into max not only the mesh.
I had some success with a third party collada importer but even if it was able to get the bones into max,
it changed the skin setup and i had to skin it again.Reflect, repent and reboot.
