    Im creating an octopus where i will be doing the tentacles as lofts then the body as poly modeling. ill texture the body and ive already textured the tentacles. problem now is that when i convert the lofts into ediatable poly and join the arms and body will i lose my mapping? im confused about how to go about texturing it. im using the lofts mapping coordinates to map the displacement map for the suckers... Oh... and on another note. how would i go about painting that displacement map for the background? i dont know how to get that sharp pinched look in PS soft brushes
