      The cheapie mac one? In that case it's more of an editor than a compositor - it's missing the big node based compositing module that makes it a bit flameish. They're making a lot of teasers at the minute though so they could be due to launch a good cheap desktop version of their advanced compositing. Again if you don't have a load of speedy hard drives for your footage it's a bit pointless and unless you're doing a lot of online editing it's a bit pointless.

      Flame itself is quite nice - very different from all other compositors and it's not quite as real time as the sales folks would have you believe but it's quite a smooth, capable system, especially for very quick, simple last minute changes.

      Nuke is a better match compositing wise for vray.

            Missing all the comping bits alright - it's a good online editing system.
