  • Siger Pro Materials. Share your thoughts. Any1 using it?

    Hi all

    Just want to know if you using Siger's Pro VRayMaterials and what your experiences are with it. Is it worth it and does it save time.

    Please share your thoughts.
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

    I've used his free materials and they are really good and quick...I don't usually have to tweak them much, so I imagine his pro ones must be quite good...HTH

      Morne,

      Did you end up trying the Pro ones? I am wondering about them, too. They look one some of the better v-ray libraries to me, so far...

        I use them and they are really good.
        Such a time saver and you can add your own material to the user libraries

          Yeah I would also be interested in hearing some more testimonials. Could be a huge time saver...

              Are there any mat library plugins or scripts like this but without all the presets so I can just build my own library ?
              Regards

                  Can the material editor organise into material types in the same way so I can easily choose from a list ?
                  Regards

                    yea.. why not make a glass library,,,or a concrete.max.. or even proper naming will sort a material library

                    eg Metal::Chrome
                    Metal::Brush Stainless Steel
                    Metal:: Aluminum
                    Wall-Paint ::White
                    Wall-Stucco::Tan
                    or any ingenious ways to name material... avoid saving materials with names like
                    Mat1
                    Mat1967
                    MultiSub1

                    Enjoy...

                      I never got around to purchasing the Pro ones, but I'm using the free Siger script version 0.6 often

                        Ditto here, but still wonder about the pro versions from time to time...

                        Thanks

                          You can save out each material editor set as a library, and swap them out at will. have the directory always pointing to a folder where these files are saved and have one called 'glass, wood, metal, etc'
