I'd imagine nearly any file syncing program'd work fine if you're only looking to go between two places - even having something that mirrors a copy of your work directory to a portable drive'd be fine?

Thanks guys, OK, so subversion might not be the right choice then...

I use dropbox as well but so far only the free version. Its works fine but I sometimes get really slow upload/download speeds (like 20kb/s), which wont work with large files. I rarely get speeds over 0,5 mb/s. Do you use the pro-version? Is it faster? Or is the only difference more space?

-yup, guess so. Using a portable drive would be the fastest/safest, as long as i would remember to bring it with me, which i probably wouldnt haha A software that syncs everything more or less automatically would be ideal. I have strong internetconnections both at home and at work so that shouldnt be a problem.

I use an older workstation at home with the main machine and server in the office. I have an external drive which I transfer the files with - using Syncback to update the the info really quickly. I though about Dropbox but the files generated are too big and the time to upload and download would be prohibitive.

I also us Logmein for checking renders but not for working - its simply not good enough yet.

Preferable I would have two identical workstations with a mirror of the work server and paths cloned at home so that file paths aren't compromised when doing Max stuff.
