MAX 2012 crappy examples

I was installing max 2012, during the installation you can see some examples, ...there are tons of good renderings very photorealistic ones everywhere but they selected the crappy ones....even Neoscape rendering is far from their standard. too bad!!!

It's always been like that, never understood it myself. Maybe they only accept work done with scanline...

jip, it's against company policy to put up the good stuff. Somebody's son or cousin did the examples probably and that's how it always gets there. Then again, when they do a call for entries, maybe only crappy stuff gets sent to them. I was at a launch about 2 or 3 years ago, and they actually gave out posters of some of these crappy renders

Haha, I've wondered the exact same question myself...

I really do love Neoscape's stuff, but I've always wondered how they've managed to get on the covers of the discs and start up windows over the years. You would think that would be some coveted advertising space...
