I have a tree with too many leaves. I can select all the leaves by selecting ID 5. How do I select, for example, 50% of these leaves so that I can delete them?

there is probably a way via script, but I would temporarily detach the leaves and apply a materialbyelement modifier and use that to assign a different ID to 50% of the polys, then select and delete the unwanted polys and then finally reattach to your tree.chris
