    seems by the demo videos that it works really well without all of the expensive equipment and suits

    hmm that does look surprisingly good. i saw one glitch in the first gallery video but thats not bad going!

    if i had 3 webcams id download the demo and give it a go!

    they mention it doesnt support hand animation due to consumer cam resolution. i wonder if you used hd cams... i guess they'd have to add hand tracking as a feature though.

      I did some reading about it on the forums.
      Looks like its working fine if you have the right cameras.
      PS eye cams are recommended because they do 60 FPS and have some efficient USB data compression.
      For good results you need three or better four of them.
      To get all the videostreams over USB you need a quadcore and may have to buy an extra USB controller card,
      Hubs wont work because of bandwith limitation.
      You may also need some active usb extender cables to get the cameras far enough from the recording PC.
      System is calibrated by moving some kind of flashlight around.
      They also support Kinect with an easier setup but quality is lower then with multiple PS Eyes.
      That may change if they support multiple Kinects in the future.
      Reflect, repent and reboot.
      Order shall return.
