I'm thinking about buying Forest Pack Pro but I don't know what is the difference in price when getting 1 year subscription and then renew it or it's better to get 3 years right away (how big is difference in price) ?

Hi Lukx
If you are thinking about buying Forest Pro then all I can tell you is you would never regret buying it! Class A support and many many very useful features, with more being added constantly!
If you're a new customer and want to buy a single license of Forest Pro the costs are as follows:
- Forest Pro with one year subscription = €180
- Forest Pro with three years subscription = €260 (normal price €280, so save €20)
If you are already a customer, subscription extension costs are as follows:
- One year renewal = €50
- Three year renewal = €120 (so save €30)
There's also an offer at the moment where you can add a second workstation license at 50% discount. Very interesting if you need to work with Forest Pro from two workstations.
When your subscription (included in the initial buy) ends you are not required to renew. The software will continue to work. You would just not be able to download the beta versions which have fixes and new features included. Should you decide to renew your subscription at a later time, then you get access to all of the beta versions and point releases again. But IMHO, seeing how actively this software is being updated and new features are being added, renewing your subscription is a no brainer. Especially at this price!
Prices are excl. VAT by the way.
Hope this helps!

So if you are on a max subscription, you'll also need a forest subscription.Marc Lorenz

Ah yes, you are right, Marc. Recompiles are also under subscription. I should have mentioned that as wel. Thank you for adding that.
But then still, at 50 Euros a year (or €40 if you go for the three year deal) I can't see how one would not renew and support further development. TCO is predictable now (and almost laughably small) and it's definitely not more expensive than before where you needed to pay for major release upgrades when they were released.

I will get it for sure. too bad the licensing isn't like with zbrush I have, that I can have it both on my workstation and my laptop if needed and if my workstation is off I can use zbrush on laptop normally (so basically two licenses as one).Luke Szeflinski

Hmm, that's strange. It seems to work for me with the Control Panel credentials (just checked). Maybe your forum account isn't activated yet? I assume Carlos has forum registration moderation in place where he needs to manually moderate the forum accounts, i.e., he needs to activate your login manually, so as to keep it all nice and tidy? I'm not sure. I can't remember how this was dealt with when I bought FP. It's been too long
You can always contact Itoo about this directly (or maybe, probably, he will see your post here) and get an answertheir support is quite good!
