When I do 3d modeling in Acad how do I do in order that circular boolean (like arched opening do not appear as poligonals in 3dsMax?

When I start a 3d model in Acad I modify both variables: isolines and facetres, but am I missing anything?
    Thank you

I think viewres affects your curves as well

No, as the name shows viewres only modifies the appearence of the mesh
      in the view/screen

it has nothing to do with autocad. It is dependant on your ACIS surface deviation settings when importing the ACIS solids (the booleaned geometry) into Max.

If all else fails read the manual.

        This is what I found.

        The manual says-

        ACIS Options group

Surface Deviation: Specifies the maximum allowable distance from the 3ds max surface mesh to the parametric ACIS surface. Small numbers produce more accurate surfaces with a greater number of faces. Large numbers produce less accurate surfaces with fewer faces.

But if I link my .dwg thru 3dsMax design extension that Acis option does not appear!
Only when I import a .dwg

            Hello,

Dogzilla is right, when you reload your dwg file, check "show reload option" to see the asci panel (asci 0.01 is a good setting)

            hope i help you

            good journey
