  • photo cam match - no dimensions, only 1 photo - how?

    Hi all

Like the title says. I usually have dimensions and reference points for this sort of thing, but this time I have no dimensions. How would I go about doing it?
The pic was taken with the iphone and I can pick up the cam settings from the jpg file properties

You could try this method in sketchup:

I think there is a video on this topic on sketchup's channel on youtube.

For accuracy it's definitely better to have more photos, but if you've got a photo from a good angle and it's not too complicated you might be able to get something to work with just the one photo. Ideally you need to have or guess at least one of the dimensions to have it roughly in scale.

        Hi Erasmus,

Do you have syntheyes by any chance? syntheyes will do that for you, depending how many reference lines u have on your image, if u want i can help u with that, if u like you can send me your file and if theres enough info on the image, i can send u a max file with camera matched.

Been wanting to get Syntheyes for couple of years now. Sadly it wont happen anytime soon. Thanks for the offer, however SKetchup did it perfectly.
