  • Fields & HD

I have to render out an animation for the History Channel and I was asked to do it with these specs:
    1) HD 16x9 format, 1080p 23.98
    2) Upper Field Dominate
    3) Output to QT in DNX codec. If DNX is unavailable pro res is fine; worst case they will accept H.264
Do fields even matter in HD? I've never rendered to fields, ever, and things always turned out fine. What the heck is DNX?

1080p with fields? doesn't mean 1080p = Progressive (no fields)?

Yes, that's what I thought. They probably want it at 300 dpi as well
