  • V-Ray RT

I just checked out RT and it is awesome! I had 2.0 for about a month and I just now checked it out. I can see RT saving tons of time and it'll make learning V-Ray easier for people. It is neat to change a setting and get instant feedback.

    Good to hear Bobby!

It certainly speeds up tweaking the scene lighting & materials a huge amount. I couldn't live without it now.

Just remember that RT GPU does NOT support all of what the vray production renderer can do. I have found that I only use the RT CPU version as the GPU version doesn't support half of what I use. And it's also limited to you GPU memory. If your scene needs 4GB & your card is only 2GB....then... CRASH.

    Hope this helps

---Largest card depends on how much money you have. I think it's a little while yet befor 8-16gb cards become cheap enough for us mere mortals

---OPEN CL - is the programming language that is used for RT GPU
