  • Backburner: Application load timeout (20 minutes)

OK so on a slave that was working fine on a job, now suddenly on same job starts getting this error:
    Application load timeout (20 minutes)

I googled it and on The Area some1 also posted this a few years back, but didn't get a reply.

Yes I know you can set the timeout limit, but surely max shouldnt take 20 minutes to start up. And as i said, it was working fine one day, then next day suddenly this.

    Anybody have any clues?
Its on Max 2012 64bit with Backburner 2008.1.1
I'm running it as a service with my username

Any automatic updates happening in the background? Windows updates?

Are you able to launch max on that slave? Maybe delete the 3dsmax.ini file? Any plug-in updates?

Just kind of thinking out loud as to what things you may to do "reset" max to see if something got messed up somewhere.

I was able to get Max2012 & Backburner 2012 working for us with no issues, so I don't have that particular setup to test.
